1960-1966 Chevrolet, GMC, Pickup Truck; Niterne Coated Fuel Tank; with Fuel Filler Neck; 17 Gallon Capacity

Reproduction of the original fuel tank designed for use with 1960-1966 Chevrolet and GMC pickup truck models. This reproduction fuel tank is manufactured in quality stamped steel featuring a Ni-Terne coating for superior rust and corrosion prevention. This is a 17 gallon fuel tank that replaces the original tank perfectly. Includes the fuel filler neck, lock ring and o-ring gasket. This tank mounts inside the cab, vertically against the rear cab wall. Note: Not for use with step tanks.

Ni-terne steel is a lead-tin alloy of approximately 92% lead and 8% tin, which has a dull gray finish, is very ductile and has a lubricating characteristic that enhances formability in drawing operations. The Ni-Terne fuel tanks were original equipment and commonly used in various 1950’s, 1960’s, and 1970’s models.
